A black Ferrari? They ran a blue and white livery back in the 60’s (1964?) as I recall in a form of protest against FIA homologation regs and even changed the name of the team to the American Racing Team. That being said, Ferrari are not shy to changing the basic red livery. I loved the 2021 Imola livery with more yellow (Ferraris official colour). They race in red because it’s Italy’s racing colour. Whole different history lesson. Anyway, given the amount of exposed carbon fibre on F1 cars, which is black, I don’t have a real problem with it so long as it’s not ALL black. That would be blasphemy! As a one off, base black with enough red and yellow (mix in some green and white for the Italian flag) it could work. But black for the entire season like Lewis managed to convince the “Silver Arrows” to do - NO WAY!! If you lose the basic traditions of the sport then it truely has become a business and Lewis can move on if he doesn’t respect that.

IMO Hamilton's desire for a black livery has more to do with his ego than diversity. Stay red, Ferrari.

Hamilton was on the last lap when he suffered a flat tire. Normally cars are allowed to return to pit to change - he didn’t have to. Perez on the other hand had destroyed the backend of his car and proceeded to make his way back to the pits despite leaving carbon everywhere, plus a real danger of him depositing his rear wing in the middle of the track. The Marshals should have immediately flagged him.

Of course, Masi was very consistently for Redbull 😂
